The main house features a spacious bedroom and 1.5 baths, while a charming guest cottage provides an additional bedroom, den, and full bath, all separated by a lush, private courtyard. 

As you step inside the main house, you’ll be greeted by an open living, dining kitchen area with gas fireplace.  This inviting space is perfect for relaxation and entertainment. This kitchen has everything you need, whether you're preparing a quick breakfast or a gourmet dinner. There's also a half-bath on this floor. 

Upstairs in the main house is the spacious primary suite featuring a vaulted ceiling, built-in wardrobe and comfortable king bed. This bedroom also has an en-suite full bathroom and a fully screened-in outdoor porch with a gas fireplace. It's the perfect escape year round. 

Behind the main house is a fully enclosed courtyard with a gas grill and a gas firepit, surrounded by Adirondacks.

Upon entering the guest cottage, you'll find the den on the first floor, which has a sofabed, desk and TV. Upstairs is an open bedroom with a full-sized bed and full bathroom. In the basement of the guest cottage, you'll find the laundry room.

This home's prime location near downtown Douglas and the waterfront makes it easy to explore all the Saugatuck-Douglas area has to offer!

The house has a keypad on the front door, and we'll send you the code just before your stay. Should you have questions or encounter any issues, we will be available to respond quickly.

Nestled along the "Art Coast of Michigan," Douglas is a charming town offering stunning Lake Michigan shorelines, rich culture, and an abundance of dining and shopping options. Enjoy a day at Douglas Beach or nearby Oval Beach, acclaimed as one of the world's top beaches. Explore local art galleries, stylish boutiques, and antique shops. Outdoor enthusiasts can try Saugatuck Dune Rides, paddleboarding, or sailing. For food lovers, the area boasts great eateries just steps away from the home.

The Douglas area is very walkable from the condo. Downtown Saugatuck and the Lake Michigan beaches are just a mile away, so you may want to have a car to explore the greater area, although parking may be difficult in peak season. Another option for getting around is the Interurban, our local transit system that will pick you up and drop you off from any location in Saugatuck-Douglas!

The property is dog-friendly and has a fully fenced-in courtyard. You're welcome to bring up to two well-behaved, house-trained dogs along, but please let us know when booking if your pet(s) will be joining you. 

So that we can continue welcoming dogs to the house, we ask that you please wipe their paws before entering, keep them off furniture, pick up after them, and do not leave them at the house unattended.

As part of your reservation, you’ll be asked to sign a standard liability waiver covering use of the hot tub and any recreational amenities. This ensures all guests understand and accept the safety guidelines and risks involved. Please be sure to complete this before your arrival so we can confirm your reservation.

Despite being a half-block off of the main stretch in Douglas, this was a quiet, private, relaxing location. Being across the alley from a great pizza place certainly didn't hurt! We were within a short drive of everywhere we wanted to go. While it was a little too chilly yet to fully enjoy the backyard space, the time we did spend out there was lovely and the hot tub was really clean and well-maintained. And this interior was perfectly scaled for what we needed though I missed having a dishwasher. I'm picky about where I sleep and the king-sized bed was lovely and comfortable. We will absolutely be returning to this spot on future trips!" (10/5)
